Virginia Life Sciences Career Fair is a one-day event organized by Virginia Bio's project Virginia Bio-Connect to connect employers from the Commonwealth's life sciences ecosystem with job seekers. This hybrid event is held in person, at Omni Hotel, Richmond, and virtually for an opportunity to attend the fair from the convenience of your home or office. The event is FREE for recruiters and job seekers.

Virginia Bio is a member-based organization focused on promoting Virginia's life sciences ecosystem and strengthening its talent attraction. The organization's project, VA Bio-Connect, has an overarching goal to scale up and grow the life sciences industry in Virginia. The project seeks to assist and serve existing and emerging companies through programming and collaboration.

Virginia Life Sciences Career Fair is created to connect you with hundreds of potential candidates seeking a job in the life sciences field. Attend in person or virtually at absolutely NO COST! However, the number of physical and virtual boots is limited, offered on a first-come, first serve basis. The career fair will let you interview candidates from the state and beyond, so if you're looking for one or several hires, our event is perfect for all your hiring needs.

Attending In person

With an in-person registration, you get a booth set (6 ft table with 2 chairs), continental breakfast, lunch, and coffee service.

Attending virtually

You can do virtually everything - from creating your virtual booth, to extending a job offer to potential candidates.

No, this event is at no cost to employers or candidates interested in participating in the hybrid career fair.

Yes, the in-person location will be held at the Omni Richmond Hotel, 100 S 12th St, Richmond, VA 23219, on October 5. The in-person event will coincide with the virtual career fair from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Employers: All employers within the life sciences and biotechnology industry are welcome to participate and register
Candidates: Undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students from 2-year and 4+ year institutions, entry and mid-level professionals, those transitioning to new fields, and all who want to attend!

The vFairs Platform has developed an automated process to create and populate each exhibitor's booth/interview station. Once participation is confirmed, our team will send you a link to begin the process. Employers will be provided with booth templates to choose from. Once completed, company information, logos, job posting details, etc., will be uploaded.

Participating employers will upload all job postings through the booth setup link. Additional assistance will be provided for those companies with more than 15 job postings

  • Each employer will be assigned an admin account after registering to which they can login and check their account.

The site will close permanently one week after the event.

Yes. Recruiters can chat with job seekers during the virtual event. Employers can conduct group chats with job seekers as well as video calls. So, practically, the employer can hire during the event!

$21 to self park and $25 for valet. Other parking decks are available directly across the street from Omni Hotel. In addition to Omni’s parking rates, there are 3 parking garages within a one block radius with daily rates between $5-$10. Hourly options of $4.00 also exist within those parking decks.
